First Day First Show: Raabta & Behen Hogi Teri SLAMMED By The Audience
Well, looks like Sushant Singh Rajput-Kriti Sanon’s Raabta failed in creating any Raabta with the audience. Rajkummar Rao-Shruti Haasan’s Behen Hogi Teri also turned out to be a big disappointment but surprisingly it has got better response than Raabta...
Two fairly big releases this week - Behen Hogi Teri and Raabta - have left the audiences totally unimpressed. While one has Rajkummar Rao & Shruti Haasan in the lead, the other has Sushant Singh Rajput & Kriti Sanon romancing each other passionately.
Both the movies have had fair share of controversies, before they hit the theatres today.
So, I headed out to a few suburban Mumbai theatres this morning to check out the response to the two films which have been highly promoted past few weeks.
While Behen Hogi Teri had fewer screens across the city as compared to Raabta, surprisingly it got better reviews than the latter. Audiences walking out of the theatres had a similar opinion. People felt that the Rajkummar Rao & Shruti Haasan-starrer is a onetime watch. However, they all unanimously felt that it could have been much better.

On the other hand, audiences walking out of Raabta had diverse opinions. While a majority said it was a sheer waste of 3 hours of their life, there were a few fans who said that they simply couldn't take their eyes off Sushant Singh Rajput & Kriti Sanon.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, summed up his reviews of the films in one line. He said, "The weather outside is hot, but the theatres are completely thanda."
For those who've come in late, both the films - Raabta and Behen Hogi Teri-did not receive favorable reviews from from most critics including our own Khalid Mohamed
Talking about the morning collections, he said, "The collections are bad for the morning and afternoon shows. We will have to wait and watch over the evening and the weekend shows, whether or not the movies pick up in collections."

Maratha Mandir & Gaiety Galaxy owner, Manoj Desai said, "The audience reaction has been bad for Raabta. Even though occupancy has been between 65-75% for the morning and afternoon shows, the word-of-mouth is really bad. Talking about Behen Hogi Teri, the film is better than Raabta, but the first show is in the evening. So you can understand that its number of shows are lesser, and thus its occupancy is also adversely affected."
Gaurav, Chief Spokesperson of Carnival Cinemas said, "New releases are not good at all. Bad word-of-mouth is causing collections at ticket windows to dip. Not expecting a great box-office collection."
We'll bring you the Day 1 box-office collections of Raabta And Behen Hogi Teri Tomorrow.
